BBC - Usher Masterclass

Brief

BBC Talent held a competition to find the UK's finest Urban vocal talent, giving the winners the once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in a Masterclass with Usher. Beyond were asked to provide vocal and movement coaches to prepare the contestants for their Masterclass with Usher and Trevor Nelson.

Solution

Beyond's vocal coaches Kevin Leo and Patrick Jean-Paul Dennis, together with movement coach Steve Agyei, used patience and discipline to instill the correct self-motivation and confidence ethos inside the young performers.

Result

The young singers learn't an immense amount in a very short period from Beyond's coaches. Usher was impressed by the talent that was unearthed from within the UK's shores, especially London singer, Seweuse who moved the great man to tears with her heart wrenching rendition of "I'll Be There".

This was a poignant moment captured on film by the BBC, whose expectations for the event were completely surpassed.
